Big picture

A global energy giant approached us with a clear objective: to unify design across multiple teams, studios, countries, and external vendors.

Ensuring consistency and quality across diverse teams is a challenge for many international businesses, but it’s crucial for maintaining standards and delivering cost-effective design services.

Bros&Co tackled the issue head-on by developing a strategic, intuitive platform that transformed how the organisation integrated design at scale across its various services.

Hurdles

Differing regional practices, communication barriers and varied standards had led to complicated processes, unpredictable outcomes, and costly rework. Additionally, our client relied on multiple external agencies.

The solution, therefore, needed to align internal teams and unify a 'mixed-vendor' environment to optimise processes, improve project delivery, and drive continuous improvement.

Game plan

Using the Bros&Co playbook, we implemented a cohesive, strategic framework to ensure industry best practices, project traceability, and high-quality governing standards.

Our multidisciplinary team worked collaboratively with stakeholders, seamlessly integrating with internal squads and vendors. This instilled confidence across the organisation and allowed us to identify critical pain points, which shaped the ideation process.

After testing and validating our ideas, we developed an innovative and accessible digital hub that enabled every designer to adopt the required ways to working. At the same time, it educated the broader business on the value of design thinking.

The win

The new platform now manages over 200 projects, 30+ vendors, 800 designers, and four studios worldwide.

For designers, it accelerates onboarding, promotes smarter working practices, and provides valuable resources for better, consistent design.

For the business, it sets design standards, streamlines operations, reduces dependency on vendor solutions, and mitigates risks by systematically tracking quality. Ultimately, this significantly cuts down on time-to-market, costs, and man-hours.

“It's incredible to see collaboration and innovation in action within an agile environment at this scale.
I’m excited to see this ripple through our organisation.”
